KIDS WORLD SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Summer Enrichment Fees:
Enrollment Fee: $75
For families not currently enrolled in Kids World
Full-time (4-5 days per week)
- One Child $245 per week
- Each Additional Child $215 per week
Part-time (3 days per week)
- One Child - $165 per week
- Each Additional Child - $145 per week
The summer program fee includes breakfast, a mid-morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack, and all costs associated with weekly field trips. (Payment is non-refundable if your child does not attend.)
Payments are to be made each week by Friday for continued enrollment.
PAYMENT ASSISTANCE: Eligible parents may qualify for child care assistance from the Chemung County Child Care Council. Call 607-734-3941.
Summer 2024 Registration:
The YWCA Summer Enrichment Program aims to provide high quality care for kindergarten through sixth grade children. The program includes activities which encourage creativity, independence, responsibility and fun. The teaching staff prepares weekly plans which include a wide range of supervised activities. The children are involved in the planning of activities.
Arts & Crafts, Daily snack(s), Indoor/outdoor sports and games, Water activities, Special projects and events, Cook outs, Guest Presenters, Summer Literacy Programs, Character enrichment activities, Field trips, Local Park visits, Scientific exploration & experimentation
All activities are designed to promote positive self-esteem, appreciation and respect for each child's background and culture. The program does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion or national origin or solely on the basis of HIV status. Every effort will be made to admit a disabled child who can benefit from the program and if reasonable modifications can be made to accommodate the child.
Program Session: 8 weeks - Location: YWCA, 211 Lake St. Elmira
SUMMER COHESIAN INFORMATION
Ages: 5 - 12 year olds
Hours: 6:30 am – 5:30 pm
Six Week Program Session: Ages 5 - 12
Please enroll in your chosen Summer Cohesion site before enrolling in Summer Cohesion Wrap at that location.
Registration begins June 3rd.
Child care funding is available for all Kids World Programs.
$75 enrollment fee required at time of application for students not currently enrolled in Kids World for the 2023-24 school year.
Payments are to be made by Friday of each week for continued enrollment.

The YWCA’s After School Program, Kids World, serves children 4-12 years old in over 9 school locations throughout Chemung & Tioga Counties. YWCA Elmira & the Twin Tiers makes program excellence, enrichment, and your child's safety our priorities. Quality school programs don't just happen; they are the result of careful curricular planning and creative efforts on the part of YWCA staff members.
As a provider, our goal is to deliver a positive and rewarding experience for every child and to exceed your family's expectations. Our licensed and registered child care programs proudly serve youth in multiple locations throughout the county.
